Stevens Family Tradition is a bluegrass gospel band based out of Southeastern Kentucky. We have a variety of material that comes from many different influences and inspiration. The bulk of our material comes from original songs, but we still mix in a little familiar tunes, as well. We have just released our first album, "The Call". This record was produced by Steve Gulley, and we have hopes that souls will be blessed and find salvation through the ministry of song.
After a 15 year absence from music, Brad Stevens decided it was time to revisit his musical roots and form a new band with his brother Donnie. The players began to fall in place and in the spring of 2015, Stevens Family Tradition became an organized band. They performed briefly under the name Crimson Cross before adopting the new name of Stevens Family Tradition. The focus of the band is to spread God's message through songs that share personal testimony and biblical inspiration. The first album features a collection of original material, six of which were written by Brad and Donnie Stevens. The music has traditional bluegrass influence, but draws inspiration from various musical backgrounds of each band member. Current band members are:
Brad Stevens- vocals, guitar
Donnie Stevens- vocals, mandolin
Frank Farley- vocals, guitar
Michael Bargo- bass
Tommy Couch - banjo
"We're excited to share our music and look forward to seeing where God is going to take us in the future."
